Why Is Sara Haines Missing From ‘The View’?

The View is back from Thanksgiving break, which means we saw Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin gathered around the Hot Topics table this morning. While View fans know not to expect Joy Behar on Mondays, we were all surprised to see that Sara Haines was missing, too.

When the ladies filed out to the studio stage this morning, they were down a co-host, but we’re hoping the whole crew will be back together in no time.

The last time we wrote about Haines, she was flipping out about The View guest Lindsay Lohan, who dropped by the show last month to promote her new Netflix Christmas movie  Our Little Secret.

While talking about her son, Lohan told the panel, “There is just so much love. Everything he does is exciting every day and I want to just capture all of it.”

Goldberg joked, “wait until he turns 20,” but Lohan replied, “I’ll be nice. I’ll be nice. I’ll be a cool mom.”

The line, a reference to Amy Poehler’s Mean Girls character, delighted Haines, who cheered and put her hands up in the air. We could use some of that energy at the table today!

Goldberg knew that The View fans would be quick to notice a missing co-host, and she addressed Haines’ absence immediately. “Sara is out today,” Goldberg said at the top of this morning’s show, but did not specify why her co-host was gone.

When will Sara Haines be back on The View?

Goldberg told viewers that they’d “hopefully” have Haines back at the Hot Topics table tomorrow, Dec. 3. DECIDER has reached out to The View for additional information. Until then, we have our fingers crossed we’ll see Haines and her cheery smile on Tuesday.
