Jim Gaffigan is the latest celebrity to open up about his Mounjaro use. The comedian appeared on this morning’s episode of The View, where he questioned why people are “afraid” to admit they take the weight loss drug.

When Gaffigan took his seat at the Hot Topics table to promote his new stand-up special, moderator Whoopi Goldberg immediately noticed his slimmed-down physique.

“The special is called The Skinny. You also have gotten skinny,” Goldberg, who also used Mounjaro to lose weight, told her guest.

Gaffigan replied, “I have gotten skinny. And it’s none of my own willpower. It’s a shot in the stomach. That works wonders. I don’t know why people are afraid to admit it. It seems strange.”

Goldberg added that she tells “everybody” that she takes Mounjaro, while Gaffigan joked, “We take blood pressure medicine, we’re not hiding that. It’s like, what’s the big deal?”

Gaffigan recently revealed to People that he lost 50 pounds since starting Mounjaro, which is a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes that also helps people lose weight.

“I feel good. I’m just grateful because it’s such a better life,” he told the outlet, before adding, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. There’s people walking around that obviously do not have blonde hair — yet they do. I don’t think that’s weird, either. It’s just whatever gets you through.”

Goldberg, for her part, opened up about her weight loss during a May episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. She called the shot “wonderful,” noting that she had lost the weight of “almost two people” since starting the medication.

The actress, who recently showed off her “new body” on The View, explained during an August broadcast why she decided to be honest about taking the weight loss drug.

“Yes, I took Mounjaro. I’m not, you know — I did it, you know?” she said. “I say it all the time. Because you can’t go from close to 300 pounds without somebody saying, ‘OK, what happened?’ ‘Cause you know I didn’t go to the gym!”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
