‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’
Citadel: Honey Bunny took me totally by surprise. The third installment in Prime Video’s international spy franchise Citadel is set in 1990s India, but it somehow feels fresher, more innovative, and exciting than any of its sibling shows. Citadel: Honey Bunny follows a struggling actress named Honey (Samantha) who gets sucked into the dangerous world of espionage by stuntman friend Bunny (Varun Dhawan). Eight years later, Honey finds herself and her precocious daughter Nadia (Kashvi Majmundar) hunted by the same men she once worked for. Bunny, too, is roused out of retirement when he learns that Honey is not only alive, but that his daughter is, too. Citadel: Honey Bunny maniacally mashes up the best of Bollywood and Hollywood, spy thrillers and rom-coms to make for one ludicrously entertaining triumph.
