Just one month after opening in theaters, the new Clint Eastwood movie, Juror #2, is coming to digital platforms to buy or to rent.
Directed by Eastwood, with a script written by Jonathan Abrams, Juror #2 stars Nicholas Hoult as a member of the jury on a high-profile murder case, who is tormented by the moral dilemma of either setting free, or convicting, an accused killer. The film also stars Toni Collette, J. K. Simmons, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris Messina, Zoey Deutch, Gabriel Basson, and Leslie Bibb; and may very well be Eastwood’s final film, given that the celebrated director is 93 years old.
The film was well-received by critics, and managed to earn $10.9 million in the worldwide box office, despite the extremely limited release from Warner Bros, which saw the film playing in less than 50 theaters nationwide. No doubt even more people will watch the film now that it’s available to buy and rent on digital platforms. But before you spend that money, you should know that Juror No. 2 will also be streaming on Max in just over two weeks. It pays to wait… if you have an HBO or Max subscription.
Where to watch Juror #2 online:
Juror #2 will be released on digital platforms tomorrow, on Tuesday, December 3, at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. (Which is also December 2, at 9pm Pacific Time.) Beginning tomorrow, you’ll be able to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vudu, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie will cost $19.99 to buy. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to view after hitting “play.”
Juror #2 will also be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on February 4, 2025. Juror #2 is not yet available on a subscription-based streaming service, but we do expect to see Juror 2 streaming on Max, free to anyone with a subscription, very soon.
When will Juror #2 be streaming for free on Max?
Good news: Juror #2 will begin streaming on Max on December 20, 2024, aka in just a little over two weeks time. Juror #2 will be free to stream for anyone with a Max or HBO subscription. So you may want to hold off on buying it.
Juror #2 is coming to Max much sooner than other Warner Bros. theatrical movies, because originally the studio wanted the film to be a straight-to-Max release. Instead, the studio gave the movie a very limited theatrical run—in less than 50 theaters nationwide, opening on November 1—but is still branding the film as a “Max original,” per press materials sent to journalists ahead of the Max debut.
Because of the film’s extremely limited theatrical release, there will no doubt be plenty of Eastwood fans who watch the film for the first time on Max. Or, if you’re not willing to wait until December 20, you can always buy or rent the film on digital platforms, starting tomorrow.
