It Ends With Us might have been the most talked about movie of the summer thanks to the rumored behind-the-scenes drama between stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni – the film is one of many new releases on VOD this week. Joining it is the new psychological horror The Front Room, and the chase thriller Amber Alert.

Amber Alert stars Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams as Jaq and Shane, two strangers whose ride share turns into a manhunt after they receive an alert of a child abduction on their phones. When the pair realize they are driving behind the car that matches the description of the kidnapper’s, they follow it in a race against the clock to save the child’s life.

The Front Room

Brandy is back on the screen this week in the A24 psychological thriller The Front Room. The pop star stars as a soon-to-be mother named Belinda, who is expecting her first child with her husband, Norman (Andrew Burnap). But the unexpected and unwanted arrival of Norman’s estranged, elderly stepmother (Kathryn Hunter), who moves into the couple’s front room, becomes more than just a rough visit from a mother-in-law and turns what should be a happy time into a nightmare.

It Ends With Us

The actual substance of It Ends With Us, the movie based on the Colleen Hoover novel, was overshadowed this summer by much of the red carpet drama between its stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. If you were got so caught up in the gossip that you failed to see the movie, about a woman who attempts to move past an abusive relationship, it arrived this week on demand.
