New Movies on Streaming: 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' and More

This week’s new movies on demand include the digital release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the arrival of Halle Berry’s latest, the thriller Never Let Go, and a new entry in the Hellboy franchise, Hellboy: The Crooked Man.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man was released straight to digital this week, but despite not having a theatrical release in the U.S., its pedigree is solid, having been co-written by Hellboy comic book creator Mike Mignola and helmed by action director Brian Taylor. Jack Kesy stars as Hellboy, and the film co-stars Martin Bassindale and Jefferson White.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara are all back for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton classic. The new film also co-stars Jenna Ortega, who plays the daughter of Ryder’s character, Lydia Deetz, along with Monica Belluci, Justin Theroux and Willem Defoe. After a successful stint in theaters, the film arrived on demand this week.

Never Let Go

Halle Berry stars in the new thriller Never Let Go, directed by Aleandre Aja, best known for The Hills Have Eyes. In the film, Berry stars as a mother to twin sons and her only mission is to protect her boys from a supernatural evil that she thinks is threatening them. To keep them safe, she keeps them tethered to their cabin in the woods with a rope, but when the boys begin to doubt that the evil is real, they start to realize that no matter what, they’re lives may be in danger.
