‘Tis the season for another iconic Abbott Elementary holiday event — well, almost!
Quinta Brunson’s Emmy-winning ABC comedy blessed fans with “Holiday Hookah,” an instant classic, back in Season 2, and Season 4 has a special two-part winter extravaganza in store when the show returns from hiatus.
From the looks of the preview photos, Abbott‘s upcoming seasonal episodes will feature exciting special guests (including Talia Shire as Melissa’s mom), have Janine and Gregory dressing in matching holiday onesies, let Mr. Johnson get his Santa on, and see all sorts of fabulous festivities unfold.

Abbott Elementary is currently on a two-week hiatus, but when the series returns on Wednesday, December 4 at 8:00 p.m. it will air two back-to-back episodes to make up for the break. For those curious, here’s what Abbott has in store:
- Season 4, Episode 7, “Winter Show”: Despite a few setbacks, Barbara is determined to make Abbott Elementary’s first-ever holiday show a success. Meanwhile, Jacob’s brother arrives for his visit earlier than planned.

When Does Abbott Elementary‘s Crossover Episode With It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Air On ABC?
Earlier this year at at San Diego Comic-Con, Brunson revealed that Abbott Elementary “will be doing an interesting crossover” in Season 4 that “will change television as we know it.” On October 3, fans learned that iconic crossover will be with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
“You can expect something fun. If you watch Abbott and you are not aware of this other show, that’s OK. You’re just going to be seeing a regular Abbott episode of television, but if you happen to be a fan of this other show you’re going to be screaming your head off, I think,” Brunson told ABC News’ Robin Roberts. “It’s exciting. It’s invigorating to do something cool like this on TV again… It’s gonna be cool.”
The episode officially airs on Wednesday, January 8, kicking off Abbott Elementary‘s mid-season return.
